Julia Sinclair (soprano) and Marijn Cinjee (synthesiser) present songs reimagining the music of the 11th-century saint Hildegard of Bingen in a modern context., now released on Vinyl LP, CD and digitally through Nimbus.
It’s already had a few plays on BBC Radio 3, with one reviewer last week saying “…for listening to in a darkened room, contemplating. It is ethereal cosmic-classical ambience.”
You can stream it on Spotify—but to provide some statistics, it takes around 5,800 Spotify plays to earn the same as one CD or LP sale. So if you like the music and want to support the artists, the best way is to buy it, ideally via Bandcamp, where you also get a digital download. (07/25)
