RTF008 12 Conversations with Thilo Heinzmann – a string quartet composed by 2015 Golden Globe winning and Oscar nominee composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, and inspired by conversations with Berlin based artist Thilo Heinzmann. London premiere on 16 April 2016 attended by 250 people. Recording planned for late 2017 with launch and further concerts in 2018.
RTF021 Contemplation for Pinar&Vioila – an art and musical composition collaboration between artists Pinar&Viola and cellist/composer Hildur Guðnadóttir. The music premiered in London on 16 April 2016. Further performances possibly in 2018.
RTF024 A suite of Preludes for Piano by composer Joseph Phibbs. Recording planned for mid 2017 with release and London premiere planned for 2018.

New Movement Collective held a 9 day residency from 17-26 July 2015 at the Barbican, London, as part of Doug Aitken’s “Station to Station” project. Collaborating with cellist Olly Coates the workshop culminated in the performance of an interactive dance piece as part of a work in progress. The residency was supported in part by the Foundation.
Quintet by Laurence Crane was performed on 8 May 2015 at the Angelica Festival in Bologna by pianist Philip Thomas and the Bozzini Quartet – the 6th performance of this work, and by the 3rd ensemble to play it. Details here.
Sadly Now The Throstle Sings by Gavin Higgins was performed on 25 April 2015 by the Tredegar Town Brass Band at the Southbank Centre, London – the second performance of this work. A review (Debra Crane, The Times, 11 May 2015) described the piece as “impressionistic and mournful …one of the works in a revelatory Southbank Concert”. Gavin’s expansion of the piece for the Rambert Dance Company (“Dark Arteries”), was premiered in London on 12 May 2015. The reviews were unanimous in their praise for the Tredegar Town Band, and for the music.
The Foundation supported a concert of Syzmanowski’s violin and piano music by the violinist Rosanne Philippens and pianist Julien Quentin at RadialSystem, Berlin on 4 April 2015.
Charlotte Bray talked on 12 March 2015 about her compositions on Radio 3. The programme included a broadcast of Yellow Leaves commissioned by the Foundation.
Hannah Kendall talked on 10 March 2015 about her compositions on Radio 3. The programme included a performance of On the Chequer’d Field Array’d commissioned by the Foundation.

Schubert‘s String Quartet in G Major, D. 887 was performed in a public recital at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin on 21 November 2014 by the Berlin Chamber Ensemble (led by Martin Funda from the Armida Quartett) with support from the Foundation.
A concert including work by Alec Roth and Jonathan Dove at the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre, London, UK on 13 November 2014 promoted by the Foundation and featuring Nicky Spence, Andrew Matthews-Owen and the Allegri Quartet. …”a most moving and evocative programme, a memorable concert, which will be remembered for a long time” (Christine Crowshaw).
Dance company New Movement Collective, supported by the Foundation, perform two sell out shows of new work “Please be seated” at the Purcell Room, London in November 2014. Reviewed here.
“At the Speed of Stillness“ – debut CD by composer Charlotte Bray part funded by the Foundation came out in October on NMC Records. It was in the Sunday Times top 10 contemporary CDs of the year (ST 07.12.14). The CD includes a recording of Yellow Leaves commissioned by the Foundation.

3 December 2013: The Ives Ensemble played Barry, Cage, Crane, Egan and Fox at the Purcell Room, Southbank, London in a concert promoted by the Foundation.
September 2013: Robert Fokkens’ debut CD on Divine Arts produced with the support of the Foundation.
July 2013: New Movement Collective performed the interactive dance piece Casting Traces in London. The Foundation commissioned the music.
